HIJRA Somalia’s status as a Partner Member of People In Aid has been formally approved; the nod was received from the Board of Trustees during a meeting on July 23rd 2009. People in Aid is a global network of humanitarian assistance agencies that actively works to enhance the capacity of member organizations to effectively manage staff and volunteers in recognition of their immense value and their central role in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
Membership is but the first step towards implementation of the People In Aid Code of Good Practice (The Code) - an internationally recognized management tool that helps agencies enhance the quality of their human resources management. We are committed to investing in people management issues and are now embarking on an exciting journey of learning and development as we work through the various stages of implementation; this will invariably help us to monitor and improve our internal HR procedures in our effort to manage and support those who, on a day-to-day basis, are carrying out our mission.
